Northern Virginia Alliance League (NVAL) is a women's organization that donates funds to nonprofit organizations benefiting the Northern Virginia community. NVAL is a nonprofit organization with status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Established in 1957, NVAL has raised and distributed over $1 million to nearly three dozen local nonprofit organizations. Our primary fundraiser is our annual Holiday Luncheon and fashion show in early December. We have given gifts as small as $1,000 and as large as $67,000 in previous years.

Our Process

Each year, the NVAL Beneficiaries Committee collects and reviews our Request for Funding Applications and selects three community-based nonprofits to present to our membership.

The NVAL membership then votes to select a nonprofit to be the beneficiary of our largest annual fundraiser, the Holiday Luncheon, which takes place on a Tuesday early in December. The remaining two nonprofits become additional recipients of our fundraising efforts.

Community Nonprofits

To become a beneficiary of our annual fundraising, please fill out our application and submit to beneficiary@nval.net! We accept applications September 1st through October 31st for the upcoming year.
